Locum/PRN needs for Neonatology Physician Assistants!!

Location: Syracuse, NY
Setting: Level III NICU
Start Date: August 2025
Shift: Weekend 12- or 24-hour shifts

Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage at our Level III NICU starting mid-August 2025. Candidates must be skilled in neonatal intensive care, comfortable with required procedures, and able to supervise NICU RNs and ancillary staff during shifts.

Facility & Team:

• 16-bed Level III NICU with average daily census of 8–9
• 0–2 admissions per shift
• 3 full-time neonatologists, 6 pediatric mid-levels + 1 per diem
• Neonatologist on-site during the day, on-call overnight
• EPIC EMR system

Responsibilities:

• Attend deliveries and C-sections
• Cover NICU and Level I Well-Baby Nursery (night shift only)
• No transport responsibilities; nearby Level IV NICU handles all transfers
• Perform required NICU procedures (e.g., UAC/UVC, intubation, chest tube, LPs, etc.)
• Supervise RNs and support staff

Compensation:

• Competitive market rates
