HR Intern - Admin Assistant

Intern/Coop Indirect Hourly

Manchester, NH

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to provide clerical support in a team environment. Duties will be aligned with the responsibilities of the department this position is assigned. All duties should be aligned with Tecomet’s priorities of safety, quality, meeting commitments, and innovation.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for filing documents in correct designated files.
  • Administrative support for other designated department/s.
  • Assist with general data entry.
  • Able to meet attendance requirements per the employee handbook policy.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor and/or manager as deemed appropriate.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and written with internal employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully with others and work in a team environment.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate for High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Well lighted, heated/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures including wearing proper PPE.
