GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for all aspects of store operations, leading the entire store to meet company standards and best practices. Staff, train, and develop leadership to achieve sales and profit goals while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Recruits, trains, and develops associates. Manages operations of stockroom, front end, and sales floor to ensure timely merchandise flow, proper receipt, and expense management through best practices and productivity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General Operating Requirements: Lead all company best practices, maximizing productivity by minimizing steps and touches. Analyze store reports to evaluate expenses and performance. Address variances from standards with appropriate action plans, partnering with the District Manager as needed. Ensure proper scheduling of associates to meet business needs. Accept special assignments from leadership. Manage payroll administration, including punch edits, scheduling compliance, and reporting. Organizational Development: Recruit, hire, train, and develop assistant managers, area supervisors, and associates. Reduce store turnover through effective selection, training, and motivation, utilizing retention tools like incentives and recognition. Address personnel issues, coaching, warnings, discipline, and termination as needed. Ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures. Manage associate relations and compliance with all regulations. Expense Control: Lead expenditures within budget. Control payroll hours to align with business trends. Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment: Adhere to safety policies, ensuring the safety of associates and customers. Ensure associates understand emergency procedures. Customer Service: Treat customers, associates, and leaders with respect. Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism. Implement customer service and merchandise presentation programs. Supervise and coach associates in providing friendly, efficient service. Personal and Store Brand: Lead and model a professional appearance per dress code. Represent and support the company brand. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment. Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing: Ensure timely recovery, sizing, and markdowns. Organize merchandise according to guidelines. Manage merchandise processing efficiently. Loss Prevention: Train associates on loss prevention programs. Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information. Lead inventory processes and monitor stock policies. Competencies: Manage work processes, business acumen, planning, talent building, collaboration, leadership, communication, accountability. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum five years of store management experience in retail. High customer service standards. Leadership, motivation, and communication skills. Ability to train and develop staff. Organizational and prioritization skills. Fluency in English. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Availability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements/ADA: Use of store equipment, standing, walking, bending, lifting, etc. Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of assistant managers, area supervisors, and retail associates.
