Salary:

Tri-City Group is currently seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Assistant for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Shipping & Receiving Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Shipping and receiving
• Unloading trucks
• Checking in and distributing materials
• Matching purchase orders
• Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
• Tracking and investigation of shipping errors
• Process receiving
• Preparation of bar code tickets and labels for daily receiving and production
• Operating engraving and printing equipment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License - required
• Minimum of 2 years working in shipping/receiving, including operating a forklift/pallet jacks
• Work independently with limited supervision
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Exceptional organization skills and the ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Previous experience with Electrical tools and materials is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Steel or composite-toe shoes are required
• Strong organizational skills
