About the Project

Youll join a high-performing engineering team working on the evolution of the companys core producta platform that supports global HR, payroll, and compliance solutions. The engineering culture emphasizes clean architecture, strong fundamentals, and product thinking. The current focus is on simplifying a complex system built around microservices and microfrontends, modernizing the codebase, and enhancing performance, usability, and scalability. As part of this transformation, youll help refactor and build new APIs and backend services, collaborate on architectural decisions, and work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding VPs and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Build scalable, high-quality software that powers a global HXM platform.
  • Contribute across the stackfrom React frontends to Node.js/TypeScript APIs and AWS infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
  • Simplify and modernize existing architecture (microservices, microfrontends).
  • Write unit, integration, and smoke tests to ensure product reliability.
  • Take ownership of the full development lifecyclefrom implementation to monitoring.
  • Stay curious and proactive about understanding the full system, including deployment and infrastructure.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience building software in production environments.
  • 3+ years working with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js , and React.
  • Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred, Azure experience is a plus).
  • Experience with front-end tools such as React Router, Tailwind CSS, Remix, and accessibility libraries like React Aria.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is a plus.
  • Strong fundamentals in software engineering (clean code, performance, testing).
  • Ability to work across the stackeven if youre stronger in one area.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Ownership mindset and eagerness to improve product and engineering practices.
