Job Details Responsibilities: As a Senior Construction Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are integral to the financial success of our construction projects. These include:
  1. Managing and overseeing all facets of the accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  2. Preparing financial statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts.
  3. Ensuring accurate project job cost tracking, margin analysis, and recognition of revenue.
  4. Providing financial analysis and forecasts for construction projects.
  5. Coordinating and preparing internal and external audits.
  6. Implementing and ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  7. Assisting with budget preparation, financial planning, and strategy.
  8. Collaborating with project management teams to align financial and operational goals.
Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate who is not only experienced but also highly motivated and dedicated to financial accuracy and efficiency. The qualifications for this role include:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
  3. Strong understanding of construction accounting standards and practices.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  8. A proactive problem solver who can make decisions under pressure.
