Position Overview:
- The Sales Engineer at Panterra Networks will play a critical role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer needs. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to drive sales and ensure successful implementation of Panterra’s cloud-based communication and collaboration solutions.
Technical Requirements:
1. Telephony Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and cloud-based telephony systems.
- Proficiency in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Unified Communications (UC) platforms, including SIP trunking, PBX systems, and call routing.
- Familiarity with telephony protocols (e.g., SIP, RTP, WebRTC, Multicast) and QoS (Quality of Service) optimization for voice traffic.
- Experience with Panterra Networks’ solutions or similar platforms (e.g., RingCentral, 8x8, Microsoft Teams) is a plus.
- Experience with VOIP hardware
- SD WAN
2. Knowledge of APIs, AI and Web Integrations:
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, including the ability to design, test, and integrate APIs with third-party applications (e.g., CRM systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Good understanding of AI APIs with platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini.
- Experience with webhooks, JSON, and XML for enabling seamless data exchange between platforms.
- Proficiency in integrating telephony and communication solutions into web-based or SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0) and API security best practices.
3. Excellent Presentation Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver compelling, clear, and tailored technical presentations to diverse audiences, including C-level executives, IT teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating and presenting solution demos, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technical proposals that align with customer requirements.
- Strong storytelling skills to articulate complex technical concepts in a simple, value-driven manner.
- Proficiency in presentation through virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Connect).
4. Experience with Writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs):
- Proven ability to create clear, detailed, and actionable PRDs for technical solutions, outlining functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate customer needs and business objectives into technical specifications.
- Skilled in documenting use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical constraints in PRDs.
5. Attention to Detail:
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in technical documentation, proposals, and customer deliverables.
- Ability to thoroughly review and validate configurations, integrations, and system setups to ensure error-free deployments.
- Strong analytical mindset to identify and address potential issues before they impact customers.
- Experience maintaining detailed records of customer interactions, configurations, and project milestones in CRM or project management tools.
5. Problem-Solving Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to telephony, integrations, or network performance under tight deadlines.
- Creative and proactive approach to identifying customer pain points and proposing innovative solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, support) to escalate and resolve advanced technical challenges.
6. Customer-Facing Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role, preferably as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Manager in a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, and translating them into technical solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to handle objections, negotiate technical requirements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and network security principles.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site customer meetings, demonstrations, or training sessions.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Panterra Networks’ product suite or similar UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) platforms.
- Knowledge of contact center solutions, including IVR (Interactive Voice Response), omnichannel routing, and workforce management tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation or custom integrations.
- Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS) relevant to cloud communications.
