Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Job Responsibilities:

Engage with customers to understand technical challenges and recommend tailored lighting solutions
Develop lighting layouts, calculations, and control schematics to meet specific application needs
Prepare detailed proposals, technical documentation, and system designs
Act as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales engagements
Provide guidance on installation methods and product integration with customer systems
Support the sales team and reps with technical insight, tools, and documentation
Deliver training on products, technologies, and best practices in system design
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop customer-facing materials
Assist with post-sale transitions, troubleshooting, and technical support
Gather customer feedback and field insights to drive continuous improvement
Identify and suggest product enhancements or new features based on user needs

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales support.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% across the U.S.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
Proficiency with design tools such as Visual, AGi32, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
Experience with CRM systems, quoting tools, and sales support platforms.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, engineering, and operations teams.
