As an Assistant Store Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional customer service while aiding the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers with a positive and approachable demeanor. Resolve customer inquiries and concerns to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. Maintain a clean and well-stocked store environment. Supervise, train, and assist in developing Store Associates per Family Dollar practices. Help with unloading deliveries, organizing merchandise, and transferring items from stockroom to store. Assist in ordering merchandise and maintaining important records, including payroll and cash register operations. Support loss prevention initiatives as guided by the Store Manager. Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Previous experience in retail or grocery management is favorable. Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs.; ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push, and pull as needed. Availability: Must be available to work a flexible, full-time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills and Competencies: Strong customer focus and commitment to service.
