We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Tech Services industry. This role is specifically focused on Commercial Construction projects, with a particular emphasis on solar technology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative, groundbreaking projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company. Responsibilities:
- Provide full cycle accounting for commercial construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying any discrepancies and taking appropriate action to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Liaise closely with project managers and other key stakeholders, providing them with accurate and timely financial information to aid decision-making.
- Review and approve contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring they comply with contractual agreements.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all project-related financial transactions, including billings, payments, and journal entries.
- Prepare and present financial reports and other project-related information to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems, ensuring they remain efficient and effective.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in project accounting, specifically within the commercial construction industry.
- SAGE 100 software highly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant IT systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
