Job Summary

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of food service operations at Furman University, ensuring alignment with client expectations, company standards, and health regulations. This role is responsible for managing new café openings, leading pre-opening schedules, analyzing financial performance, and upholding food quality, freshness, and presentation. The manager trains, develops, and motivates staff, fosters a positive work culture, and maintains strong client relationships while solving operational challenges efficiently and professionally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Oversee food programs and ensure quality and compliance

• Supervise, train, and develop team members

• Manage and analyze financial performance

• Lead retail operations and customer service initiatives

• Coordinate overall day-to-day operations, including new café openings

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• 5+ years of food service operations management experience

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Passion for high-quality food and service

• General culinary knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations

• Commitment to health and safety standards
