Are you an experienced MIG Welder and want an opportunity to work with one of the Fastest Growing Fabricators in Columbus? If so, our client is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join their team as they continue to grow. The MIG Welder will have access to great benefits and top of the industry pay!!

MIG Welder Duties:

• Welds metal parts together using MIG, TIG, and RESISTANCE welding or brazing and any combination of welding processes.
• Interprets engineering drawings to determine Weld Layout, Critical to Quality Characteristics (CTQ), and overall specifications required to produce quality product.
• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

MIG Welder Qualifications:

• Must have MIG experience, TIG is a plus
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Quality Management – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and an understanding of ISO 9001 principles.
• Quality – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Quantity – Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.
• Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Adaptability – Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
• Proficient in basic math
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
