**How You'll Help Us Connect the World**
We seek a motivated, detail-oriented Marketing Automation Intern to join our Marketing Operations team for the summer. In this role, you will work closely with our Marketo expert, supporting critical tasks in lead capture, routing, and data management within our CRM (Salesforce). You will gain hands-on experience with marketing automation tools and processes while contributing to the success of our digital marketing initiatives. The role will be based out of Sunnyvale, CA.
**You Will Make an Impact By**
1. **Lead Capture & Management**
2. Assist in configuring Marketo forms and landing pages to ensure accurate lead capture.
3. Monitor and validate data to maintain high levels of lead quality.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with lead flow or data discrepancies.
5. **Lead Routing & CRM Support**
6. Collaborate with the Marketo expert to route leads from Marketo into Salesforce.
7. Update lead records in Salesforce to reflect the correct stage, owner, and contact information.
8. Help maintain lead databases through regular data cleansing and de-duplication.
9. **Marketing Automation Assistance**
10. Support Marketo program builds, including creating email campaigns and nurturing workflows.
11. Test and optimize campaign components such as email templates, landing pages, and segmentation strategies.
12. Generate performance reports and dashboards to highlight key marketing metrics.
13. **Data Analysis & Reporting**
14. Monitor lead engagement metrics (opens, clicks, conversions) to refine targeting and improve campaign performance.
15. Assist in creating weekly or monthly reports summarizing marketing activities and lead progress.
16. Provide recommendations based on data insights to enhance marketing operations.
17. **Collaboration & Process Improvement**
18. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, IT) to streamline lead processes.
19. Contribute ideas to improve marketing workflows, automation sequences, and operational efficiency.
20. Document marketing processes and best practices to support future team members.
**Required Qualifications for Consideration**
+ Actively pursuing a bachelor's (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master's degree inbusiness administration, Information Systems, Marketing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relative major from an accredited university
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
+ Have experience in automating processes or concepts
**You Will Excite Us If You**
+ Are familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS) for website updates
+ Have experience with Marketo (or similar marketing automation platforms)
+ Have knowledge of Salesforce or Outreach platforms
+ Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

+ Can handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
+ Possess strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
+ Have a strong initiative; are a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
+ Have experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
