Pay:

$19/hr

Shifts Available:

Full-Time Position dual schedule Days and Evenings, some weekends

Your Role as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS):
As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) , you’ll make a real impact by:

utilizing therapeutic recreation activities to improve the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals with disabilities, illnesses, or other conditions

Developing individualized therapeutic strategies for assigned patients

Conducting goal-oriented recreation

Providing transportation and supervision for Recreation Therapy outings

Soliciting input from staff in developing weekend, holiday, and vacation activity for the patients on each unit

Participating in activities which enhance professional growth and development

Assisting staff and provides support to employees by introducing and educating staff to activities

Assists, demonstrates, teaches, and instructs activities to residents

Providing positive and appropriate intervention, limit-setting, response, problem-solving, and guidance when needed

Demonstrating knowledge, understanding, and follow-thru with resident treatment plans and interventions

What You’ll Need:

Active Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) license in Virginia

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living setting
