The Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach undergraduate courses in anthropology, under the direction of the Anthropology Department Chair.
We seek instructors whose area of expertise complements current department strengths in archaeology (pre-colonial and early post-colonial history of Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas ), biological anthropology (molecular Anthropology, human ecology and forensic anthropology, including, but not limited to, paleoanthropology, skeletal biology, or bioarchaeology), or cultural anthropology (race and ethnicity, medicine, health, science, gender, sexuality, environment, religion, law, popular culture, politics, economics, and institutions).
The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the inclusive excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties.
The hiring unit will not sponsor employment-eligible immigration statuses for this position.
